Hey fellow Jeep owners, first time Jeep buyer here from Columbia, MD. Picked her up last night (V6 Dark Charcoal Overland w/730 RHR). Originally had ordered a Blackberry Limited a few weeks ago but because of the paint shortage that would have back things up. They found me my overland, so i traded in my 2006 g35 coupe and I've been loving every minute since. Thanks for all the informative posts on here, have been learning a lot about Jeep's and the new wk2.

Congrats, fellow Free Stater! What interior did you get? Toss up a few tasty photos when you get a chance. Enjoy your new Overland.

good stuff... I'm in Harford County, MD and I too had a g35 coupe. I also like the balance of the Charcoal & Frost - it was my second choice. Well enjoy your new ride... the weather is turning so get out and hit the trails in nearby Western MD - you're a bit closer than me.

Here's a link to various ORV trails in MD:

Green Ridge State Park has an 18-mile loop trail that I've read about but never been on. Unfortunately it looks like it's closed based on this link although maybe this info is outdated.

Another good trail is Poplar Lick in the Savage River State Forest. It's about 7 miles long and is perfect for loading up the kids and driving them through the woods. We used to do that when we had a place at Deep Creek Lake. It's a fun trail with no technical features to speak of. The entry point is semi-steep and rutted and you have to dodge a few branches but it's not overly challenging. You get to ford a stream a few times and hit a little mud here and there. It's a nice drive and you can always see alot of wildlife. We've seen wild turkeys and even a black bear once. There are several primitive campsites near the stream that runs along the trail. This one may also be closed temporarily but it's not clear why.

Here are the pics as requested, just took a few outside of my work during lunch.

mhassler-I'm def looking to try some of those trails, the girlfriend is an alumni of WVU so we still go up to Morgantown often, I'm excited to try it on the mountains.

bluetrude-What dealership did you get yours from? What do you think of the color and interior combo?

Like Ahujaddady I got mine at Criswell too, no hassle and treated me right. It took about 6 weeks to order but worth the wait. Nice looking ride but I'm a bit biased:D. I love the combo. At first I couldn't find Dark Charcoal but really liked the flake in the black. I went to another dealership that had a Compass or something so I could check out the DC in person. It looked good and Nbstat's pics sealed the deal for me. His is just like ours too.

Hey man! I'm in the DC area as well and come up to Laurel often. What dealership did you buy from? I ended up making the best deal i could at Criswell in Gaithersburg.

It's funny how many people here are coming from Infiniti G coupes... or maybe i just notice it more when someone comments. I have a G37 coupe myself... maybe the Jeep just appeals to us G drivers, and is a great next car.

Hey buddy, I bought mine at Heritage in Owings Mills. I had ordered a blackberry limited a few weeks ago then everything went to hell with the paint in Japan so I decidied to buy now, they found me mine from another dealership in the area and had it shipped to them, gave me the same off invoice then my order was going to be for and a great trade in value for my G.

The G was a great car, just not much room and it suckedd in bad weather lol..my brother bought a wrangler a few years back and sister got a 07 cherokee last year. I test drove the MDX, Highlander, 4Runner, and Cherokee when I was deciding. There was no competetion, the Jeep blew everything away, so I have joined the family of Jeeps lol.

Great looking Overland. Thanks for the info. We live in Germantown and are actually buying ours from Criswell today from Jenny/Phil. It is good to hear that others had a good experience there.

We are actually torn between the Dark Charcoal and Green both with the Frost interior. Both are gorgeous.
