New Owner/EVIC/DIC Question

Hello,

New owner of a 2015 JGC Overland 4x4 Ecodiesel. So far love the car. Was looking at a 4Runner TRD Pro also and the Jeep had far more amenities. I do admit, I was leery regarding the Jeep from the many electrical issues from 2014 model but for the most part, it seems flash updates may have solved most of it. I maybe wrong though.

One question. When I go into the DIC screen and put it on Articulation for example and turn the car off then back on again, the screen resets to the 1st menu (I believe it's AUTO) of that particular screen.

Is there a way to keep it on the Articulation screen every time I turn the car on?

A bit picky, but just curious.

Lastly, you think I can just use the Uconnect app on my phone to remote turn off the engine for cool down instead of waiting 1-2min as suggested in the manual and other forums. After work I just want to get in the house and relax instead of sitting in my car with the garage open for 2 minutes.

Thanks.

Chris

The cool down doesn't mean you have to sit in your garage for 2 minutes. I drive home going 55 mph. The last mile it drops to 40 mph, then down to 30 mph for another 4 blocks. This is more than enough cool down time for the diesel. The only time I let it idle for 2 minutes is after I tow the boat on a long trip.

Re: New Owner/EVIC/DIC Question

Cool down for modern engines means cooling under load. No more "turbo timers" of 2 decades ago.
