Re: New running boards

They're not that bad actually. Who makes them?

Re: New running boards

They made by Ionic and the model is the CXV.

Although I wanted only black boards and these have chrome on the side I don't think it's too bad. It matches that gawd awful chrome trim around the windows.....

Re: New running boards

do you find them keeping the crap off the side of the jeep, ie. off the mouldings? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger since my altitude wheel flares are already chipped bad due to the rock salt....

Hard to tell with this much snow. I'll come back to you when there's less snow on the road.

I saw these on another post and think that they are the best looking ones.

Did you do the install Jonny? If so was it pretty straight forward. Someone mentioned that hardware is a little on the cheap side?

Great looking boards man.

When the dollar gets better I'll be picking up a set for sure.

Cheers

I have similar ones and yup, a pain for sure.. After I spent a good amount of time getting the drivers side in, I found a cheat that made it a lot faster for the passenger side.. Did a small write up and can find it if anyone is interested..

Re: New running boards

The instructions are basic so needed to figure out a few things. In retrospect though it wasn't too bad and the longer I keep looking at them, the happier I am with them.

It helps though if you are able to lift the car up to work underneath. Took it to a local mechanic and we did them together.

One last thing. They're slippery. You need to wax them at first and then they're fine. Don't forget or your feet may slide from under you, especially in winter with snow on them.
