New Soon to be Grand Cherokee Owner Questions!

And I'm pretty scared to see what it would feel like going from 6.0L V8 to a V6 but I would prefer the 5.7L Hemi if I could get my dealer to special order it for me! Since you have the V6 is it enough power? I heard from a YouTube review of the Grand Cherokee and they complained about the V6 saying it was underpowered and I have yet to test drive the V6 or V8 yet. A friend of mines has the Summit trim but I have yet to ride in it!

I have the Hemi and I still don't think that's enough power. I drive around town in sport mode to make it more bearable which kills gas mpg. Let me rephrase that it probably has plenty of power, but there is all kinds of throttle lag.

If we're not happy with the engine choice hopefully that won't keep us from enjoying this beautiful machine! And probably about after 50k miles it's gonna be passed down to my son!

That's the only way to know. For me it has a surprising amount of power for such a heavy vehicle.

I have a few complaints about the GC, but overall I really like it. It looks amazing. It rides great. Granted I have been driving Rubicons with 37's. Its quiet. The Harmon Kardon is the best I have ever had. It handles nicely especially in Sport mode.

Of course, that same engine in a 3500 lb vehicle will seem like a rocket ship when you stomp on the gas compared to a 5300 lb JGC...

Lol that's funny

The V6 puts down the same or better numbers than the 11-13 GC w/Hemi. I find it obnoxious when people say it's underpowered. It's the right in line with every other SUV with a V6, plus 2 gears.

Exactly, plenty of power for most folks.
