New Soon to be Grand Cherokee Owner Questions!

Well I'm probably in the wrong spot of the forum but whatever. But other than that I have a bit of questions about the Grand Cherokee ok so let's get on with it!

1.Im looking at a 2015 or 16 overland without the Advanced Technology Package. So will it still have the blind-spot, and front and rear parking sensors?

2. Does it come equipped with Rain-Sensing Wipers just for a standard overland?

3. The HID bi-Xeon headlamps are they "Auto Leveling"?

4. The safety of the Grand Cherokee in general this is going to be my family's daily driver and I need it to be safe. So had anyone on the forums wrecked or totaled their Grand Cherokee?

Thats it I have more questions just can't think of them. But also what are some other neat features on the overland without the Technology Package? And what do you love most about your Grand Cherokee? I will be looking forward to my purchase date of my vehicle becuase let me tell you how much my wife adores this truck I do to I love the design of it especially with the LED Headlights!

New Soon to be Grand Cherokee Owner Questions!

1. No to front park sensors.
Yes to rear park sensors.
Blind spot and cross path detection is an option and it's only $500 something, definitely get it. I recommend the Harmon Kardon system but the standard Alpine is pretty good.

2. Yes

3. Yes

Welcome to Jeep Garage. A lot of your questions can be answered here: WK2Jeeps.com - 2011-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee menu page

Best of luck with your new vehicle search. Model years 14-15 have the controversial electronic shifter. 2016 went back to a conventional, more intuitive design.

Re: New Soon to be Grand Cherokee Owner Questions!

Yes all Overlands have rain sensing wipers and auto level headlights as well as bi-xenon HID headlights.
Sounds like you don't want it, but I say get the tech package. It's not that expensive and you get some great features. LOVE adaptive cruise control and the safety features the package comes with. If you want front park sensors on an Overland the only way to get them is the High Altitude edition which also comes standard with the tech package. HK audio optional on all model Overlands. The High Altitude look isn't for everyone though.

Goodluck with the purchase and welcome to the forums.

I might take a look at the High Altitude Trim but it's the trim level that comes with black accents and the kinda black tinted headlight look? I like that look too!

Yes exactly. It more or less looks like a Summit on the outside, but with black chrome instead of bright chrome. Emblems are all gloss black, has SRT black bezeled headlights and SRT lower side skirts. Lastly it has gloss black 5 spoke wheels.

Get the '16 so the shifter doesn't make the GC run over you!!

The HA is super nice and comes with the Advanced Tech package. The only things I use on that is the parking sensors/backup camera and blind spot. I hate the front collision stuff and adaptive cruise control.

Hello Not and welcome. I currently drive the model you describe. It works for me, but realize that once you get used to an option it becomes a necessity.

Yes exactly I see those all over my town and all I do is stare them down. I like that look more than the new Tahoe's we own a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ full loaded only option it's missing is the Power-Deploying Side Steps. And I'm pretty scared to see what it would feel like going from 6.0L V8 to a V6 but I would prefer the 5.7L Hemi if I could get my dealer to special order it for me! Since you have the V6 is it enough power? I heard from a YouTube review of the Grand Cherokee and they complained about the V6 saying it was underpowered and I have yet to test drive the V6 or V8 yet. A friend of mines has the Summit trim but I have yet to ride in it!
