Just out of curiosity are any of you having buffering issues while listening to radio or any HD radio stations? I know there's a TSB for the satellite buffering but is there a TSB for the radio or HD radio signals dropping out repeatedly?

Question for everyone that has had this TSB done. Attached is a pic of what was written on the paperwork. No numbers on this seem to jive with what's written in the tsb. I bring this up because I don't feel any difference in shifting and if seems most are reporting big improvements. Can anyone compare their paperwork or let me know if they applied the latest to mine? Thanks.

Did you bring the printed TSB from the W2K site so there would be no misunderstandings.

No, but I gave them the number. They wrote the number correctly on the paperwork as you can see... But the software update
Mentioned right below the tsb number is what I wanted to verify with others that had it done. Mine says "update software 181906V8 .2" and on the tsb it doesn't give a software version but it does say labor operation 18-19-05-9M.

I'm due for a few TSB updates myself and I tried the write it down thing and was kinda blown off so ill have print outs with me and everything highlighted as to what I want done and ill be checking the write up sheet afterwards. You should have a sticker on your engine compartment computer I believe which designates what's been done.

Re: New tsb for 8speed with 5.7

Just had this done yesterday. After a commute, I think there is a noticeable improvement in Eco more. It seems to rev a little higher and downshift quicker, to the point where I'm not tempted to turn in off in traffic.

I say "I think" because I also had the cruise control not working issue after the x-mas tree dash recall was done and figured they would just reset the module.... well after 2 hours of troubleshooting the tech finally found the star case which says officially to, er, um, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes... I need to buy more post it notes for my next service visit.

Anyway, that essentially erased the learning of the transmission so I'm not sure how much of the improvement is the tsb and how much is just restarting the learning process.

Re: New tsb for 8speed with 5.7

AN ECO MODE I CAN LIVE WITH !

I brought my Summit in last week just to get this done. I had a great service writer; described one of the "conditions" on the TSB and told him that I would like the update. He looked up my vehicle, and said that there were several current TSB's for my Jun 13 build (ELSD, PCM, Air Suspension, & Heated Seat Module), and they would do them all.

The ECO mode would normally shift 1-2-3 almost immediately, and then kind of lug when you give it a little more gas. Now it shifts 1-2 and allows the revs go go higher before shifting into 3. MUCH nicer acceleration! All shifts throughout the range are very smooth - almost too smooth (but thats what we have Sport Mode for). At freeway speeds down shifting from 8 - 7 is immediate, even under light acceleration, making passing/speeding up a breeze.

VERY happy with this update.

Re: New tsb for 8speed with 5.7

I think the TSB made the humming sound when engine is in eco mode more pronounced. But it did take care of the annoying rocking motion at parking lot speeds, so that part I like.

Totally agree, my jeep is driving much better after the update. I'm seeing improvements at very low speeds, the jeep seemed stuck in first for much longer than it should've been prior to the update. That's corrected 100%. Also had an issue with how the jeep downshifted when slowing. That issue is about 90% better after the update. It's not something I'm bothered by at this point.

I agree. Since I had the update done, I noticed the more pronounced humming sound as well. Other than that I am very happy.
