New White Altitude!

First post on here after lurking and researching for a while. This vehicle has really surpassed my expectations and I've fallen in love. I knew about the whole ML chassis connection and I've driven many Benzes from C to S-class; the Jeep didn't disappoint. It's also hard to show in pictures the kind of road presence the Altitude has. Every time I get out of the car I spend a good minute just looking at it.

For some reason there's a shortage of Altitude pics on the web so here are some quick shots I took. Still bone stock for now, wondering if I should get some DeeZee boards for the little one to hop in and out. Also wanted to upgrade the bulbs (not the ghetto HID kit, the nice Philips/Sylvania bulbs) but I think I remember reading that replacing them are a huge pain?

Looks great. I'm going to slowly start gathering the parts together to turn mine into how yours looks.

Nice looking in white! I myself stuck with Black (almost Granite). I did consider white until they brought the black one out for side by side. I am a sucker for black..... Enjoy!!

Re: New White Altitude!

I am considering an Altitude. I see that the both of you live in areas prone to snow. I live in NYC. How do you think it will handle? I love the look of the Altitude. Do you think we need the select trac. I am not going to do any off roading.

Answered in the thread you created. I personally don't see an issue in the snow with the standard 4WD setup on the Altitude (Quadra-Trac I).

Funny that you should mention it, but I live in Queens. You won't have any of the fancy off-road options of the higher trim levels but for NYC you'll be fine with a 4x4 and the JGC's ground clearance. You could get a dedicated winter wheel/tire set but it probably won't be necessary. I doubt we'll get another winter like this past one for a while, anyway.

I went to Major in LIC. It was a good experience for me and I can refer you if you'd like.

Thank you for the feedback. Definitely going with the Altitude. Like you said I really don't need the fancy off road stuff. I prefer the hidden compartment under the driver seat. I am in Queens as well. I might drive up a sidewalk or two. lol.

The referral would be great.

Re: New White Altitude!

The Altitude doesn't have heated or ventilated seats?
