Didn't Milous say Sport Mode was going to be a button on the dash? Where is it?

Oh my gosh did they dig that shifter up from old 80s surplus parts? And what's with the yellow gear indicator, inconsistent with the blue colour theme of the GC.

The volume, fan, etc knobs look twice as thick now too...

This same shifter showed up in another image of a Summit received by a forum member. Yeah, that ugly thing is it.

Funny, I never had a problem with the shifter in my '12 QX56...until I bought the Jeep. Then I hated it, and part of it was because of the linear shifting and leather boot.

Glad I bought a '15.

No kidding. I like the shifter on my 14. Couldn't be smoother or easier.

Re: New WK2 shifter handle for 2016 (pic)...

I like the current shifter, it was easy to get used to. I occasionally get the gear wrong but only when I shift quickly. The new shifter reminds me of the WJ shifter, are they trying to go for the retro look???

I don't like the shifter on my 14, but I have gotten pretty used to it at this point. This thing on the other is so ugly I'd rather have the less functional but much better looking one I have now. I hate the baggy look.

Honestly it took me more than a day or two to get comfortable with the shifter on my '15. But now I no longer have to overthink it

I really don't understand the venom directed at a leather shift boot, but then I grew up with them. Do you guys all wear those really skinny pants?

It's just a new industry trend in shifters. The 2017 Mazda CX-9 has a similar shifter.

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

Hate boots. They are a pain to clean. I like the current design with the gear indicator on to to of the shifter as well
