OK - you read it here SECOND! LOL

Gosh, this thread has taken a tad hostile tone. My comments are mostly tongue in cheek and aren't meant to be taken quite so seriously. With that said, I do hate the baggie boot...

The pic is of a SRT, so it maybe peculiar to that model.

I do like my MY14 shifter. My hand rest comfortably on it.

The new one is a retro step, somewhere for lint, dirt, food scraps & coffee to accumulate in.

Looks like a much better set up, flick to the left manual mode straight up, better than the stupid paddles.

Cool I had a shifter just like this 10 years ago

Wonder if they will remove digital radio radar cruise and other gadgets so I can drive a real retro mid 00's car again

Seriously it looks shit

Also not liking the dash display either, the 300's is much much nicer
And where's my auto steering like the little brother regular Cherokee and 300 has

Re: New WK2 shifter handle for 2016 (pic)...

I do have issues with the 2014 shifter. I accidentally leave it in reverse at least once a week. The reason nothing has happened from that is because the moment I get into my parking space, or know I'm going to remove my foot from the brake, I engage the parking brake. I generally park, shift to park, engage parking brake, lift foot off brake pedal. During that sequence the vehicle has often not gone all the way into park, leaving me in reverse.

Re: New WK2 shifter handle for 2016 (pic)...

An automatic tranny shifter that requires instruction is a defective design, pure and simple.
