Just browsing Milous posts and WKjeeps. There's no mention of the availability of the power adjustable pedals that my 08 Overland has. This definitly will be a deal breaker for us.
The Jeep is my wifes daily driver. She's 4.11. If she can't safely reach the pedals without sitting up against the the aitbag. It would definitly be a dealbreaker for me.
While it certainly isn't a deal breaker for me, for Jeep not to offer this is dumb. This is supposed to be a "luxury/premium" suv but no adjustable pedals? I mean the 2002 Grand Cherokee had adjustable pedals..it seems really awkward they wouldn't offer for a 2011 model. I'm sure this will turn away a few buyers though as a lot of people use these everyday so they can drive safer by being further away from the airbag. Oh well.
Ive got them on my 09 WK and when my mother borrows my jeep she uses the adjustable pedals cause she is 5"4 and it makes her more comfortable to drive. I hope they didn't elminate this useful feature. Any info on this Milous?
It's a good feature. You guys who say you only used it once. Why was that? To adjust the pedals to a position of your liking? That's the whole point. It's not a feature you need to play around with continuously. Just for a better ride comfort.
In a vehicle without it you would simply have to settle with the stock position of the pedals.
I think they will keep doing it though. Because it's not only featured in the GC. But many other Chrysler models.
As far as deal breaker goes....not for me. But a great luxury feature
There is nothing luxury about a WK. The interior is made with the absolute cheapest materials possible, they fool you into thinking it's luxury by filling it with crappy half assed features like the "easy entry" seat that sounds like grinding metal! or how about the mysterious "service 4wd" or maybe the little piece of plastic the covers the seat belt attaching to the seat, I'm on my 3rd with 2 different set of "luxury seats" Lol. I don't care what anyone says, go ride in a MB, BMW, Lexus, shit even a Buick. Then you'll see how far from luxury these jeeps are. IMO
When I say I used them once it's was to put them in the farthest possition from the front which they were set at when I bought the jeep. If it didn't have them, they would already be in the desired possition!
I would imagine being 4'11" would be tough to get comfortable while still being able to reach stuff.
I use mine, change it up when driving between
everyday driving, highway or off-road.
Like the front ELSD I think not having it is a step backward and I would miss it.
2011 jeep is first class luxury right up there with the imports, and even has some more features than the imports, bmw, lexus, mercedes
Heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, power steering wheel, power liftgate, rader cruise control, pre collision warning system, keyless entry, keyless start, command start with remote, blind spot monitor, air suspension, and many more features, why spent extra money on import because of name brand.
