Re: No front Park Assist sensor?

The 2011 300C will have front/rear park assist, I believe that it is the first domestic Chrysler vehicle to get the front assist.

The Grand Cherokee will probably add the feature for the 2012 model year, as stated it has been on export models for several years. There are quite a few differences in export models, and the list varies from couuntry to country. Some of the features are required by law.

I would have to research the differences for the WK2, but to give an idea of some of the differences on prior models, here's the list from the 2005 WH:

Alternator, 180 Amp

Antenna, rear side window integrated

Battery, 800 Amp

Diesel engine

Emergency Kit Group (fire extinguisher, first aid kit, reflecting triangle, tool kit)

European Equipment Group (front license plate bracket, headlamp level system, 140 mph speedometer, 3500 kg. tow group)

Fog lamps, rear

Fuel filler cap, locking

Headlamp leveling system

Lamps, side marker

Lug nuts, locking

Mirrors, power folding multi-function

Paint, exterior colors: Graphite Metallic Clear Coat and Patriot Blue Pearl Coat

Security system, Premium (Mopar accessory on the WK)

Thatcham Security Equipment

Re: No front Park Assist sensor?

I have most of that on my WH

but, the locking filler cap is THE WORST.... such a pain to use and I feel like I'm driving a 40 year old vehicle having to use my key to unlock the filler cap! lol

Has anyone attempted this yet?

Re: No front Park Assist sensor?

I don't think so

From what I have gathered so far

That there is a different control module for cars equipped with front and rear parking sensors.

So if you wanted to add this you will need new sensors, new module and a new harness for the front.

Now that is just the parts lists and I have no idea what would be needed to connect all of this.

the second option the front sensor kit for the austrailian market. MOPAR part # 82212547

I contains the 6 front sensor wiring and other parts to add the sensors.

No the front kit does not show up in the evic it only has the audible beaps

If you ask just for jeeps to get it for you it will run about $220 for the kit.
