Recent discovery for me, too. The sales guy I support has it and felt it was a "must have". Now that I have it...I agree.

No wonder they don't offer that option anymore!
They absolutely still make cars with a heated windshield. The S Class Mercedes has one as an example.

Heated wiper blade replacement will be pricey dealer only items. Hope Milous is kidding.

Re: No Heated Steering Wheel!

I dont understand why more manufacturers dont do like Subaru. For atleast the last 5 years Subarus have had defroster lines on the windshield in the wiper rest area. It makes total sense and Im shocked more havent caught on. Seems like a much better idean than heated blades

I'm assuming after the '14WK2 launch everything goes back to a normal schedule so the '15 WK2 would launch a year and a half from now in August 2014?

For sure. They don't need to spend $75 each on heated replacement blades each year.

It would just be the arms, the rubber inserts would just be rubber inserts I'm sure.

My new Lexus GS has defroster lines in the windshield under where the wipers rest.

I have to turn the heat way down after a minute so I don't need anything besides for the heat. However I could understand heated wiper blades maybe on a GC, but who's taking there Viper out when it's that cold.

A Windshield Wiper De-Icer system will debut on the new 2014 Cherokee (launching next May). I believe the heating elements will be along the lower windshield, I haven't seen exact details yet.
