CRD was AU$6000 more than the Pentastar when I ordered my 2013 here. Not sure if that's any indication of what it will be worth there.

I'll be following that story, too.

The higher MPG number is certainly appealing - but the higher price in the US for diesel has to be considered as well. If the CRD is a couple of $Ks more than the HEMI, I can see many folks reaching out for their calculators to see how many miles they have to drive to break even...

I did that and couldn't justify the $6k. If I towed a trailer regularly it may have been a different story.

I totally understand. I won't be towing much, either.

I do not have a personal preference when it comes to making a decision between the HEMI and the CRD. I like the characteristics of both engines. As it appears today, the numbers seem to favor the HEMI - unless something totally unexpected happens (i.e. CRD offered at the same price as HEMI).
