I see something about the rental reimbursement. I have the 7/100 that I purchased from Chrysler at the dealership.

Am I understanding this correctly- while you're under the factory warranty and you take your jeep in for service (such as an oil change), the warranty provides a rental car?

Yes, but read your specific service contract. This is what it says under Maximum Care 7/100 on the link above which is what my Lifetime plan also says:

First Day Rental
Maximum Care provides a $35 First Day Car Rental Allowance for any dealership mechanical repair or maintenance service.

Car Rental Allowance
Maximum Care will pay up to $35 per day ($175 maximum per occurrence) anytime a covered component fails, causing the vehicle to be both inoperable and require overnight repairs.

Re: No more MaxCare?

I purchased the lifetime maxcare yesterday so i assure you it is still available.

I wish they let you customize the year/miles. I don't drive all that much so if i had the option to purchase 10 year/100k warranty for significantly less than the $2200 i paid for the Lifetime/Unllimited i would have been all over that. I know there is an 8 year/120k plan but that was only 200 less the lifetime and i will more than likely be keeping the vehicle longer than 8 years.

Should also get a notice from Mopar with your VIN on it that you might want to print/keep in the vehicle when you are away from familiar territory.

Odd the dealer thought was no longer available, unless they were trying to sell a higher profit 3rd party.

If it was an honest mistake, you could get the quote from Zeigler and show it to them... but it IS a Mopar contract.

Re: No more MaxCare?

Sounds like the dealership doesn't resell the Chrysler warranty package and pushes their own version but saying the Chrysler is no longer available to sell seems a bit of an exaggeration to say the least. I went to buy an externed warranty for my previous vehicle (Toyota) from the dealership I bought it at and found out they had a different warranty company for extended warranties and didn't resell the Toyota one. I found out their version was only usable at their dealership and the price was much higher then what I could buy the Toyota one from another dealership. I personally would only want a warranty that could be used at all or most Jeep/Chrysler service centers and therefore purchased the five year Maximum care one for my 2014 Jeep last year.

You should also be able to look it up using your VIN here: Mopar Vehicle Protection for Jeep or via www.moparownerconnect.com

That's the surest way to know (anyone can send a fake contract). Zeigler service contract registered there in about a week.
