Re: No Power Folding Mirrors?

Power folding mirrors are availabe on the non-US WK2s. Along with heated headlamp washers, body colored mirrors on the Limiteds & Overlands (not Chrome) as well as side marker lights, like found on BMWs and Range Rovers.

There was some confusion early on (just like there is now with the available Naviagtion systems) as to what is std or for US. Also, in Europe roads, as well as garages, are smaller making folding mirrors more of a necessity.

The do tilt if you would like them to. Tilting mirrors is an old feature (on my father-in-laws 2002 MBenz e-class, my previosu 03 Range and 05 MBenz) but onthoscars onlythe passenger mirror tilted. The new JGC tilts each side.

However if its more advanced and closes the mirrors say when you put the car in park and is activated via the EVIC then I would imagine we are pretty much screwed.
Well like i mentioned in another post, if someone wants to research it let me know. I travel quite a bit and have no problem "importing" some mirrors back with me from Europe on one of my trips.

I did some google-fu and I couldn't even find a UK parts supplier who had 2011 parts in their inventory system yet.

Re: No Power Folding Mirrors?

i have a power folding mirrors on my 2012 GC overland and its very useful and use it most of the times when parking or going through some tight places..but with using it i have notices something rather odd which is sometimes when the mirrors are folded and i turn on the car it automatically opens the fold and sometimes it doesnt.

does any one have idea how and why does it happen?

not_too_shabby has a brilliant future
I have a 2014 and I fold mine all the time. I have never had them unfold in their own, even when I am driving down the road and realize they are still closed.
