Normal ride height?

How tall should the truck be at normal operating height? Does this look tall to you?

Re: Normal ride height?

It does look a little tall to me. I have pictures at Park/Exit and ORA II. Maybe they will help you compare.

Re: Normal ride height?

It looks a little high, yes. Hard to really tell, though, without measuring.

Re: Normal ride height?

I'll try to get a better shot, maybe with a tape measure.

Re: Normal ride height?

I measured. To the top of the wheel well of the driver's side wheel, it is 33". I've got 20" wheels if that matters. The rear was about 34" but I'm not sure the ground was perfectly level.

I just went out and measured the resting height on my '14 Overland with 20's.

Drivers side front: 33.5" from ground to top of wheel well.
Drivers side rear: 34.5" from ground to top of wheel well.

Keep in mind I have the quadra-lift suspension so that may be the reason for the variance.

Re: Normal ride height?

My truck looks tall too (QL) but the 2014s stand a little taller in normal ride height than the 2011-13. This was discussed somewhere ... I wanna say in one of those threads discussing the worthiness of QL over steel springs.

This is mine: OR-2 vs. Entry/Exit

If you are going to measurer ride height you need to take out the tyre pressures differences
So you need to measurer from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the guard
Not from the ground As there will be a difference due to inflation of tyres

Mine is 2013 limited with QL

Front is 880mm or 34.64 from the ground - Measured correctly from the bottom of the rim is 765mm or 30.11 inches

Rear as above is 840mm or 33.07inches - 730mm or 28.74inches

Hope that helps
