I went to the grocery store today to pick up our Thanksgiving fixin's.
As I was leaving the grocery store, I drove by the Lowes and then the Kohls store on my way out (they are all located in one shopping area), I couldn't help notice that as I passed each store there were a few people really checking out the Altitude. At the grocery store, I saw one guy looking and then nudge his wife (or girlfriend) to look at it too. Saw another guy at the Lowes do a double-take and as they were getting to their car, stop, and take another look. Lastly, driving by the Kohls, I saw a younger crowd really checking it out.
Interesting... I would imagine that it must happen to other members here too
Yeah i've had people check me out in my Laredo and I think it also depends on the area and the driver. I'm 21 driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee so people stop and stare and even if I leave it sitting in a parking lot I try to keep it looking spotless and that also helps
I've also had people come up to me asking about my GC too its great sometimes.
I have had mine for less than a week. I have noticed people staring and doing a double take more than once. I have been stopped to ask about it 3 times already. I don't get half the attention when I'm in my BMW.
In my area there are so many WK2s. I've literally been at lights and been surrounded by all sides with GCs. Guess I'll have to come up with a Mod to make mine stand out more.
I get quite a few looks, but probably give more as I compare mine to other wk2's on the road. Too easy not to and see what people do and don't do to their rides.
The entire Altitude idea was MY IDEA (although I would have based it off of the Overland) on this forum and Jeep rolled out the concept ready production at Auto shows one week later. This is the truth.
I get no money or credit for it, except from Scott and other fine folks here.
