Re: OBDII port plus plugin module

A part number lookup yielded.....
CalAmp LMU-3000 GPRS Series (LMU-3030)
SKU: LMU30G600-G1000

GPS Tracking Unit with OBD-II Interface

The LMU-3000 is an economical, full-featured vehicle tracking product designed for easy and reliable installation in automobiles. The LMU-3000 is an ideal solution for automotive insurance, driver behavior management, auto rental and automotive applications when access to the vehicle diagnostics interface (OBD-II) is required.

Yeah, I'll probably return it to the dealer once I get my JGC. Haven't had it since yesterday and miss it. The Jeep Patriot rental with a four banger sucks, but that's all they had available yesterday. Really miss the hemi.

Re: OBDII port plus plugin module

You cannot use a BT OBDII module with a Iphone/iPad as they will only work with the more costly WiFi ones. You can use the BT ones for Windows/Droid however.

Re: OBDII port plus plugin module

I'm still really suss that the device left in the car has tracking ability. Does it have a SIM in it Eastof111?

Thanks for confirming the cheapest of the cheap dongles work StarionVR4. I'm going to splash out my hard won seven bucks now.

Cheers,
Steve

No problem Steve.. have also used it on 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Diesel & 2006 WG Holden Caprice. No problems with these vehicles either..
