Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I don't like the lights, the grill, the shifter - I do like the USB and audio plugins near cup holders.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I agree the front end just doesn't look right at all to me. I for the most part like the changes to the rear but not digging the chrome at the bottom of the rear bumper of the Summit.

It looks like the compartment under the radio controls is essentially gone with the USB, SD dongle. That is a absolute turn off for me because I keep my spare gun magazines there and my brake controller is mounted there out of sight.

Guess I'm keeping my Overland until something else new comes along

Please tell me that the srt8 dispatches with the exterior chrome treatment. Looks really promising otherwise.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

Nice, but not so nice that it pisses off people who bought the old model.

I like the look of the interior in the regular Overland. Don't care for the "gold" plastic trim in the Summit, the silver looks much better. The gold looks cheap and very Japanese, like something you'd see in some old dude's Camry.

I hope they bring back a Saddle option for the leather at some point, I still love that in mine.

Instrument panel looks really nice.

The little inset plastic piece in the headlights is strange. Maybe that is a port for the headlight washer to come out of?

Summit exterior has way, way too much chrome.

Not sure what everyone is talking about re: the storage compartment. I still see a storage compartment in front of the shifter. What is the problem?

EDIT: Oh, now I see, WTF? If that panel is blocking the whole storage compartment, that's extremely dumb. They could have put those ports in the armrest easily. Maybe that panel flips down out of the way or something.

And the headlights do appear lifted straight off the 300. That explains the plastic piece. I don't mind the look, but that's being pretty cheap if you ask me.

Wow, the interior shots are amazing. I really like the indigo and brown. I am disappointed that there didnt seem to be an outside pictures of the Overland.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

Glad I got my 2012 when I did last summer. Don't really like the front end at all. Looks like the designers are straying far from the trail. I do like the interior though. It's sweet.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I like the exterior more than I thought I would. Definitely prefer the Limited trim to the summit.

Love the new interior, huge upgrade here. The user interface alone is worth an upgrade IMHO.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

Loving the recovery points on the front of the Limited.

ARE YOU LISTENING CLYDE CAMPBELL??? - MAKE SURE THESE ARE ON THE AUSTRALIAN SPEC VERSION!!!

But they do not seem to be available on the Summit.

Hmmm, not sure about the front end, a bit too "smiley" for me. Maybe we need to see it in the metal.

The interior looks fantastic.

I'd say it has just as much chrome as the current summit - so that should work.
