Everything else I think is arguable, but the LED taillights? Really?!

Personally I think the LED taillights are probably the best improvement of all. They're very Audi-esque... which is a good thing.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

Then you didn't look at the pics real good. There IS manual controls for the A/C so it isn't all on the touchscreen and the steering wheel is basically the same as the Viper.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I've seen 2 in person with the camo and now these. I love the interior and hate the exterior, they made the rear look just like my parents Lexsus RX 350!

The exterior has been ruined. The headlights and front end are terrible, the wheels don't fit the personality of the vehicle, the Summit rear end looks terrible, they managed to screw up LED taillights, seriously this could be a case study in screwing up a good thing.

The interior too is a massive step backwards, the only things they got right was the contrasting stitching on the leather and the big screen. The new wheel is ugly and looks cheap with WAY too many buttons making it VERY busy looking, the trim around the speakers is tacky, they removed a lot of really useful buttons for comfort settings, and now you HAVE to use that screen for some essential functions (A/C temperature, etc.)

Really, a step backwards in every way. I've got the feeling the price for my 2011 is just about to go up seeing as they totally ruined a great vehicle.
X2. Had a 300 for a rental last week, and it had this shifter and Nav/Audio screen. Wasn't a fan of the shifter, but maybe it just takes some getting used to. The screen is really nice, but found myself missing the obvious dials and buttons to manipulate some of the creature comfort settings. Yes there are some dials and buttons outside the screen, but you need to use the screen to heat the seats, and work some of the other settings that we currently have dials/buttons for. I only had the rental for a few days, so in fairness I can't be sure if more could have been accomplished without the screen.

I think the new interior looks really nice, but not a fan of the exterior. The 11-13 exterior design is so damn attractive, I was expecting just a few tweeks to perfect it. Unfortunately it looks like a swing and a miss, IMO.

No more whip antenna.....

Overall I like it. Will have to see in person to see if I love it more than my 2011 Black Summit.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

The front end has far too much going on and the Overland rear is far too Benzish...Maybe seeing some unmodified pics or in person will change my mind. Love the new interior cluster, steering wheel and center stack but dont like that they killed that tray space.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I like the matte wood trim with the exposed grain on the 2014, a'la Audi and Mercedes. I'm not so sure about it paired with the glossy wood on the wheel though...

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

I know people will call me a hater but the 2014 is an abortion. Looks like it time to purchase that lifetime warranty for my 2011.

If they would have "filled in" around the headlights it would have looked better.

Re: Official 2014 photos released!

as others have mentioned...I dig the interior but the exterior...seriously? I was leaning towards keeping my '11 anyway after seeing spy shots, but I feel even stronger now. They ruined the front end. wow!

Interior looks like a nice upgrade to current model
Headlights look horrible...They seriously kept the black "filler" piece?
Grille looks whimpy
wheels are ugly and do not flow
summit rear is ugly

.
