Oil change panel on Hemi

I performed the first oil change on my Hemi Overland, it looks like there is supposed to be a panel right below the drain plug and oil filter to seal up the splash guard but mine is missing.

Can anyone confirm that there is supposed to be a panel there?

Re: Oil change panel on Hemi

Maybe there was a panel sometime during conception, but just like we lost our tails...the panel got deleted. I asked the dealership about it and it doesn't exist.

Actually it is covered on the V6 models and they just cut the slot out on the V8's.

My V6 has the hole with no cover. I have seen exactly one report of someone who doesn't have the hole.

My Pentastar has the cover. I haven't tried to remove it. (Build date Nov. 19/10)

I just did my first oil change too and notice the same thing. Nope, no cover on my Hemi Overland.
