Oil Preassure from Evic

I was chacking the different gauges on the EVIC while driving, and I noticed that the OIL preassure fluctuates from 28-29( no foot on pedal) to about 50psi at full acceleration.

Is this normal.

I have also noticed that when it goes into ECO mode it also drops.

Mine does not fluctuate when vehicle is warm at idle. But yeah the highest I have seen is 48.

Re: Oil Preassure from Evic

Same with mine. I have the 5.7 Hemi. I was thinking that the electronic display gauge is run 4-20 mA, and that the readings are real time, rather than the older "dummy needle" that operates only in certain ranges?

yeah its normal. my Jeep cold idle is a lil past the 80# mark, when its warm my idle psi is around 45#. when you rev it, it should go up. basically increases with engine speed.

Re: Oil Preassure from Evic

Perfectly normal if you see 0 psi then you know you have no oil it gauges pressure not volume obvioulsy.
