Opening back without using FOB

Is there a way to open the back door without pressing the FOB? There is a button back there, but its just for the Window.

Just lift the hatch handle, the door will lift.

^this

1) walk up to the car with the fob in your pocket or other secret hiding place on your body

2) push button on rear latch to unlock rear hatch

3) lift hatch handle and door will raise automatically or manually whichever config you have

Bozer, were you seriously asking how to open it and unaware of the handle? pshaw, I'll never believe that. I thought you were asking if there was a button somewhere in the cockpit to open the rear liftgate...

Exactly! The button to open the liftgate from within the vehicle is in the overhead console in the middle just beneath the interior lights.

That's only if you have the power liftgate

Re: Opening back without using FOB

Bozer,

If your rear hatch will not unlock when you press the chrome button on the liftgate, you are not alone. Others have reported the chrome button going dead, and mine has also. Dealer had new parts on order for mine. Maybe they have trouble with all the eastern winter salt spray?

Re: Opening back without using FOB

When I press the chrome button it makes the horn honk sound and I think it's locking it. Not sure wtf is up. works fine if I use the FOB though.

I have not found button on inside to pop it open either

My ability to communicate via the written word must've failed me. Try this.

If I'm honest with you Bozer, I had to look for it myself after seeing your post. I had never used it before you mentioned it!
