Opening key fab

What's the best way to open the key fab to take the battery out? I'm getting key fab not detected a lot and will try battery replacement first. Auto start works fine but everything else isn't working.

Re: Opening key fab

use the emergency key to pry the two sides apart. See instructions starting on page 26 of the Owner's manual.

Re: Opening key fab

Battery in Fob has nothing to do with starting the car, it only works the door locks. You can have a dead battery, or no battery, and the car will still start by recognizing the chip in the Fob.
