Opening Liftgate Inside Cabin?

If you are in the drivers seat is it possible to open the rear Liftgate without using the key fob? I picked my sister up at the airport this weekend. I pulled up and had to dig through my pocket to get the stupid key out to open the back. Shouldn't their be a button you can click while being in the drivers seat without having to get your key out? I have a 2015 GC Overland.

Think you need to put it in park first.

Better get the shifter recall performed first in that case.

But.....while it's closing, you can put it in D or R, and start rolling!

Are talking about the wiring harness recall

I think he was talking about 2014, 15 transmission shifter that causes confusion.

Changed in the 2016
