Opinions on trade in

I have quietly been reading the forums for a while now but I feel that I'm now at the point of trade in and want to know what the professionals think! I bought a 2006 Commander with 86,000 on it and currently have 155,000. We have had some great times together with very little problems (the most problem free vehicle I've ever had!). However, I've been drooling over the WK2 ever since it was first released and they are just now getting to the price point where I can afford the one I want. I have a blue, 2011, limited, Hemi in my sites and I'm itching to to go buy it. How do you think the reliability will be compared to the commander? Should I have any reservations? I love my commander and hate to part with it but I'm really liking the looks of these "new" Grand Cherokees.

If you've been reading this forum, you should have a pretty good idea of the problems with the '11s. Check the tsb's, and see what's been worked on in the car you're looking at. If you have it at a Jeep dealer they can run the service record for you. I believe most of the problems with the '11 have solutions. It's up to your judgement whether you're getting a good deal on a good vehicle.

So mine runs perfect but it took 3 years to get it to that point. Mine is 2012 but almost identical(other than 6 speed programming on tranny).
K things to look at.

-clunk in rear over uneven roads.
-hard shifting through the gears
-shaking at 70-80mph
-front and rear bumper alignment
-radio issues,freezing etc
-the Hemi is thirsty
-Huge TIPM issue(vehicle won't start/stalls at highway speeds) in some cases)
-sunroof rattle
-shudder at highway speeds
-expensive spark plug maintenance if done by a shop
-HVAC issues ,cold air inconsistent heating etc.
-uncomfortable seats
-key fob battery don't last long

If the previous owner took care of these items you should be good to go.
-sport mode is not very porty
