Re: ORA II - Not all created equal?

One has the Advanced Tech group, the other does not.

As far as the price difference for the ORA 2 it seems that the one for 1795- has the ORA 2 price for the V-6 gas engine (wouldn't include the ELSD or the QD2). Doesn't make sense since it says it has the diesel. Mistake?

I hope that's not true. Can anyone confirm? I don't trust Edmunds on this, not sure they know.

I would point out that the more expensive option does NOT show up on Build and Price at Jeep.com. So if what Edmunds says is true, it is no longer possible to get QD II on a Limited.

Re: ORA II - Not all created equal?

I don't think it's possible to get QD2 with the gas V6 on a Limited.

Check the build sheets; it seems the window stickers leave things off sometimes. I just put a deposit on a Limited Ecodiesel 4x4 with ORA2. The window sticker says nothing about QD2, but the nine page long PDF build sheet has it. And the actual window sticker says things differently than the PDF window sticker you can pull up.

Here's the link to get a build sheet; replace the X at the end with your VIN.

For reference, here's the link to window stickers; replace the X with your VIN.

Thank you MB!! That seems to solve much of the mystery! BOTH of the above listed vehicles have QD-II, 220a alternator and tow packages listed on the build sheet!

So it APPEARS that Jeep simply changed the price of ORA-II at some point. One is apparently before the change, the other after.

I feel better!

Re: ORA II - Not all created equal?

But there seems to be another discrepancy. The Heavy Duty Brakes. I compared the build sheets and the window stickers with mine: I apparently do not have "Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc HD Brakes" heavy duty brakes on my car which was believed to be part of the ORA-II package.

This post here details the part numbers and changes needed to convert from Standard to Heavy Duty brakes.

Heavy duty brakes
They come with the Hemi.

Re: ORA II - Not all created equal?

$1795- is the ORA 2 price for the V-6 gas engine (wouldn't include the ELSD or the QD2). What doesn't make sense is that price is shown on a sticker that has the diesel. It should be $2495- and would include the ELSD and the QD2.

It would appear that jeep is now charging $1795 for ORA-II regardless of engine choice. It also appears based on the build sheets from the two examples above that they are still including QD2 with Diesels.

Yeah, it's apparently wrong with regard to ORA-II pricing.

Zhe Wiz
So Jeep did a $700- price cut on that configuration?
