Heh, that will be the third recall for my EcoDiesel. Maybe I'll finally qualify for an appreciation certificate.

Re: ORC module recall

I'm keeping an eye on the Jeep Owner Connect site to see if the recall has been cleared for my vehicle. So far it hasn't, but if it does, I'm not going to be in a pleasant mood.

Re: ORC module recall

I had my ORC module fail last summer 2014 limited. When it failed, I got the passenger seat belt not buckled, driver seatbelt not buckled, phone requires service, and airbag requires service light all at the same time. Through this forum, due to other failures, listing their symptoms, I was able to determine that my ORC module had failed. The dealer allowed me to order an ORC module for my vehicle even though they had not seen it yet, they verified I had an appt. I did this because, it was backordered then, almost a year ago. When it was in for service, they tried everything but to replace the module I had ordered. They updated the uconnect software, tried to say some stuff I had up against the console in the back was the problem. Apparently they got the air bag service to reset, but could not get the seatbelt alarms to go away until they replaced the ORC module. I also, have not had good luck at the dealer. They hosed up the brake booster recall, not reinstalling the master cylinder properly, and the mounting brackets were rubbing against something cause annoying rubbing noise. They fixed it, undocumented to save their PI, but i still think my brakes don't feel the same way as they did before i had the recall done. Lot's of issues, now with a stack of recalls not performed. In for service on Monday, see what happens.

Can you keep me posted on how this goes since I believe I take my jeep to the same dealer as you do? Also have you had the sun visor recall done and how did that go?

Re: ORC module recall

My last service visit hasn't shown up on the Owner Connect site yet, but I'll post here if it does, and if that changes the status of the recall.
I had the visor recall done last year, and no problem with that.

Thanks. Do you remember if the visor recall took awhile or was quick. I see some people saying it's all day whereas others say less than a hour.

I left the vehicle for the whole day and got a rental because I have the Lifetime MaxCare, so I'm not sure how long it took. I also had the brake booster recall done, and an oil change.

My service visit now shows up on Owner Connect and the P67 recall still shows as open and waiting for parts.

Re: ORC module recall

The parts for the ORC Module Recall P67 have been released. Owner connect shows them as available now and I verified with my dealer and will have it done later this week.

Well MD right at the 2 year mark this will be the last outstanding item. Looking forward to a long period of no dealer visits, crossing fingers.
