That was recall number 4 in addition to about dozen other trips to fix various things over the last 2 years and that is with me doing maintenance on my own. So jeep is finally caught up on everything no more dealer visits crossing fingers. I really like the jeep and im keeping it but that was really an unfinished science project, wow. I always buy new platform release cars so am used to a few glitches and a trip or two back but this is a whole different experience with Chrysler. But take the time and get it all shaken out and is a great vehicle one of my favorite if not my favorite.

I guess I've been pretty lucky with mine, even counting the recalls. And those went smoothly, done right the first time.

For over a year, I've had issues with this "XM service loading, please wait" problem. Finally got it in for a serious look. The tech did a software update, XM refresh and a hard reset but he couldn't get Sirius Traffic to show a subscription. LOL... had he bothered to read the letter I left in the car for him he would've known I wasn't subscribed to Traffic or Weather.

So they ordered a new radio. In the meantime the XM service reloading issue disappeared, so whatever he did finally fixed that problem. I told them that but they asked if I wanted the new radio anyway as it would cost them $35 to ship it back. So I let them put it in. Been working great so far, no XM issues.

Yes you have a good one it sounds. The only issue I had that id say that was significant was the HVAC cooking you in the winter that was an in your face daily issue, certainly not drivability though. The rest were fairly minor but minor that did need fixed not minor that you just ignore. All good now though, if they could get the old map thing fixed that would be nice but not holding my breath on that one anytime soon.

Yeah, a lot of people had that complaint. Strangely enough, I had the exact opposite... never felt like I was getting adequate heat or AC, not much air flow coming out of any of the vents. Even had a couple of times when I couldn't get either to work period, regardless of any changes using the soft or hard keys. They did a software update to one of the modules and that seemed to take care of the problem. Though I still wish the AC worked better than it does.

Oh well, maybe it will on the next one.

Do you happen to know where this module that needs replacing is located?

It's on the floor panel transmission tunnel under the center floor console behind the ABS Dynamics Sensor. Same basic location as my '02 JGC. I know this because I had that friggin' dash/steering column/trans tunnel out of it 4 times for the rare blend/recirc door & actuator issues and 3 heater cores in 200k. Oh joy!

Are you saying the center console needs to be removed to swap it out?
