I had to go through my settings and reset a number of them that changed because of the flashes.

Thought I had everything back to normal until I went out this evening and noticed my approach lighting in the outside rearview mirrors ( puddle lamps) don't light anymore when I remote unlock the vehicle. I went through all the settings again, and couldn't find anything to toggle that feature on or off.

I really like the approach lighting, and I'm very disappointed they don't work. Anyone have any ideas? I'll be calling the dealer next week if I can't figure this out.
Pull the battery cable for 30 minutes and put back on. The BCM update caused things like that to stop working on mine, the day running leds and hvac and other lighting quit working. I took it back and dealer shrugged their sholders said theyd call jeep hq. I went home pulled the cable and it was fixed. With that many modules flashed especially the BCM something got out of wack. Pull cable letem all reset.

Re: ORC module recall

My puddle lights do not work when the mirrors are folded. Maybe that is the issue?

Re: ORC module recall

Update: Early this morning I went out and tried the puddle lights again, nothing. I never fold my mirrors in, so I thought I'd give that a try. Nothing happened on the first button push, but they folded in on the second, and worked normally after that. Tried the lights again, and they worked. Strange behavior, but all's well that ends well. Hope they keep working.

Silvermax, one of the settings that changed during the updates was the daytime running lights became unchecked, so I caught that right away, and checking it turned them back on.

Glad you got them working. Mine unchecked also but when I rechecked it still would not come back on the hvac also quit blowing I never noticed the puddle lights but I was not out at night. keep an eye out for other gremlins the BCM update really whacks the systems out.

Re: ORC module recall

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more gremlins. All those flashes at one time could certainly cause conflicts. Just a note from my early ownership experience, sometimes settings would take only if made with the engine running.

All in all, though, I've really loved driving my Jeep for the last two and a half years. Other than a few hiccups here and there, it's been trouble free.

Yes 2.5 years on mine also, lots of back and forth first year mostly minor issues but all good now.
