I just got another recall notice in the mail. Nothing new here....this one is for the "occupant restraint control module".

I'm sure I'm not the only one getting this in the mail today...my only problem is my selling dealer still hasn't gotten the parts in to complete the first two recalls. Been waiting for months....

Hopefully this one gets taken care sometime soon.

Anyway, enjoy your upcoming trip to the dealership.

I received mine today as well. I wonder if this is going to be like the recall for the airbags were the humid states are more likely to have problems than states with less humidity?

Got mine today also, I think that is number 4 or 5 lost count. Link below references NHTSA upset about Chryslers slowness with older recalls. Its not talking about this recall but I agree the general slowness is a little bothering. Yes I know it can take time to get parts together for these things but there seems to be more emphasis on checking the box about notifying then actually doing them.

Yeah, received my notice in today's mail as well.

I notice that in their explanation of the ORC circuit board problem and resulting failure it also states that higher humidity levels may increase the potential for this to happen... just like the current Takata airbag problem states.

Got mine today as well. Wonder if I need to have this done since they replaced my orc module a couple months ago. When I told them about it, they claimed the car was completely safe to drive with all the errors displayed on the dash. Thankfully me and my family didn't get into any accidents or else I could only image the worse from not having the airbags deploy and feeling like a complete ass for listening to the dealerships bs.

I'm curious also....I hope they don't destroy my interior....whenever semi major work had to be done to my interior it always came back a little off. They fix one thing and mess up something cosmetic in the process. At least that's been my experience.

Got a call from the dealership today to tell me that brake booster shield was in for both my '11 and my '14. When I got home the ORC Recall for the '14 was in the mail. Of course, it's not really a Recall....it's like the TIPM recall on my '11.....it's a "There is a problem but we can't fix it yet so we will send you another REAL recall notice at some unspecified time in the future".

Just venting guys.....it's getting frustrating. Two 80 mile round trips next week and both vehicles will still have outstanding recalls.

When they replaced my ORC module, they removed the side panels under the center console and said it was located under there. They also busted one of the clips and the panels didn't clip back on as they were supposed to. Hate that I now have to perform this again after getting it done recently before the recall was announced.

took my jeep to the dealer on Friday for the p64 recall and some other reflashes and I was talking to the service manager about the p67 recall. He said jeep sent out a blanket recall notice but they have not determined how many vehicles are accutally involved. Seem the bad board came out of one plant and they have just begun to trace the bad boards. He told me that no info is available yet and no worries about the air bag not going off if needed unless the light is on. He said that if the light comes on the return it to the dealer and they will try to locate and replacement but all the new good boards are being used in new production so it may take some time to get a replacement

Any updates on this? I just checked online and it still said part not available. Anyone have an ETA? BTW, when my brake booster was replaced my master cylinder was "found" damaged (they broke it in the process) so they kept my jeep for a week until they got a replacement and I got a crappy Dodge Journey rental. This is my first Jeep and like everyone else here I have had numerous recalls. I also went through a puddle and my sideboards filled with water that required a trip to the dealer. Dealer said drain wasnt connected properly. Had to go back for other side another day. This is a Jeep right? It should be able to go through a puddle! I was asked if I had taken it offroad, answer was no, but shouldn't I be able to?

I've had all the recalls done at this point. I should also be up to date on all the tsb's.

It seems some dealers have the parts on hand and others were made to wait months for the same exact parts.

My selling dealer had me waiting months. A different dealer by my office did all the recall work in one day. Zero wait.

As far as going off road, I've never had a problem. I've only done beach driving though, no rock climbing in the overland.....

When having the brake booster recall done, I asked the service manager about the issues with recall parts availability, why did some dealers seem to be able to get parts, others can't.

He said that it had a lot to do with how fast the dealership turned the recall paperwork around with Chrysler. Not the volume of recall repairs they've done. The faster they did it the sooner they got more parts.

At the time I first went in to schedule an appointment for the brake booster recall and get the kit ordered, they had done well over 300 of them. They had the kit on hand, there was no waiting for them to order one.

Good question. Besides the notice I got in the mail, this from the NHTSA:

Interesting update on P67 ORC recall. I had a state inspection and oil change done at my dealer today. On the invoice was an item saying the P67 recall was performed. I went to my service adviser and asked how it could have been done when the parts were not available and he told me that was correct, the part wasn't available, but the tech did a software update that pertained to the recall. He also said that I would receive another notice when the part was available, and I would need to return to have the replacement done. Reading my recall notice, and the NHTSA notice, I couldn't find anything about a software update, just the part replacement. Anyone else have any info on this. (Here's a scan of that part of my invoice.)

Ya, I'm not buying the software involvement when the problem was Bosch applying a coating too thin and the new, delayed, part solving that then what's the software for? hmm
