Today, we ordered a Granite Crystal Overland with frost interior.
Going from a 99 to a 2017 .... wow, the leaps in technology and the learning curve not to mention the various options and combinations on the different lines.
Thanks to all those on this forum who have contributed over the past couple of years... I have learned so much and it really has helped my husband and I to sort through all that is available and get to know what we may and may not want.
We drove a Trailhawk and almost went with that wonderful option but in the end, the pressure of the lower bolsters hit my husband's hips at an odd angle so we left that option behind. I love the seats, by the way... they were very comfortable and reminded me of the bolstering I have in my convertible.
Thanks again and I look forward to sharing my experience in hopes of helping others as I have been helped..... once I get a little road time when she arrives in December.

Thanks! Yes, we added the Advanced Tech Pkg (now called a Jeep Safety Pkg), Blind spot, Off Road II, 19 speaker HK, etc... everything except the engine heater and a package that was a Chrome something or other pkg which added several Chrome looks items....
That is one sweet ride you've ordered. And yes, the tech advances are quite a leap. I went from a 2001 Honda CR-V with 5-MT to mine, and it does take a while to absorb. I just LOVE the ACC, Adaptive Cruise Control. I will never get another car without it. When my wife finally replaces her 2001 Jetta we will get ACC. And then there is HDC, Hill Descent Control. On a slick downhill trail, that HDC removes all the stress of your trying to wrest control away from Isaac Newton and his gravity.
Is the Hill Descent thing a QD-II thing? I don't have QD-II and I've pushed the button that looks like Hill Decent but it still rolls too fast down hill. Do you have to be in 4-Lo? Or is mine not the same?
For HDC you have to be in 4-Lo. Going downhill you let gravity pull you downhill and you control your downhill speed using the paddle shifters. HDC keeps your tranny locked in the selected gear and uses individual wheel braking to control your speed. There is generally no need for the driver to apply brakes.
Without HDC, when going downhill in 4-Lo and using the paddle shifters, and if the hill is steep enough, gravity will pull your rig faster and the tranny will upshift to keep the engine from over-revving. You must apply brakes to control speed. In slick conditions this can be nerve wracking.
HDC takes all the drama out of it. If you still slip when using HDC (mud, or otherwise slick traction), basically you are hosed and you'd better hope the hill isn't long or steep. Isaac Newton and gravity are now in control of your rig. Not a great feeling.
I ordered a 2016 Overland from Koon's with the same exterior color and light frost interior. I have loved the combination and looks sharp. Congrats on the choice!
You were wise to add the options you did, it makes a great vehicle even better.
Congrats and good luck! Love the granite....had the same color on my previous 2014 Limited. I went with billet silver for my 2017 Limited.....thought I'd go with a lighter color this time since my previous 3 Jeeps were dark colors.
Congratulations! We just ordered on overland as well and share in your excitement. There are more luxury features/bells and whistles than any other car I've owned!
