Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

Thank you so much to those of you that suggested the Tread Lightly program. I joined a little over a week ago. I ordered my summit yesterday and had no problems at the dealer. I did not need my control number when I ordered (only when I take delivery). I received the Tread Lightly package in the mail yesterday and had no problem logging on and getting my control number. Now I just have to WAIT for my Summit

I ordered:

-V8 Hemi
-Rugged Brown
-DVD
-730N RHR (nopw standard on Summit
-New Saddle/Black interior (Standard as well)

Thanks again!

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

Congratulations! Do you mind if I ask if the Tread Lightly! discount was a no haggle deal off of the invoice pricing? Were you able to bring the price down more even after the discount?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

No haggle on the pricing with tread lightly. straight affiliate pricing as shown on invoice. The configuration preview showed: MSRP: 50,265. Invoice:46,946. The bottom of the invoice had two other prices, FFP: 46,477. EP: 44,674. I paid 46,477. I only had to haggle over the value of my trade. They gave me very close to KBB "good" for my vehicle.

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

Did the dealer charge you a "Conveyance Fee" or "DOC" fee on top of the FFP?

I was able to use a military buying program and I paid $43.713 that includes all the fees. But does not include sales tax and license fees.

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

Congrats Patschamps! I am ordering mine tomorrow. After speaking to several dealers (first w/o telling them about TL), they would only start with MSRP for the Summit. Then I would tell them TL & they had no issue providing 1% below invoice. I actually hope to do slightly better than that tomorrow.

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

They hit me with a 289 documentary fee. I didnt complain because, unlike every otheer dealer around here, the were honest and didnt ruin the experience by making me fight for every dime. they also gave me exactly what i expected for my q7 trade which was 3k abive what another dealer quited me.

Re: Ordered Summit w/TreadLIghtly

Yeah, seems like that DOC fee is something they're all insisting they "have" to charge!

I've got one more I'm trying this week and then will probably be forced to resign myself to paying it.
