Ordering 2015 Summit Diesel, have ?'s

Trying to get a few answers before I place my order.

1. Does the Summit have a full size spare?
2. Any word on 2015 diesels getting the DEF injector skid plate standard?
3. Has the dual layer acoustic glass been confirmed for early 2015 builds?

Looking forward to getting a new Jeep, just want to make sure I know what I'm actually ordering... Dealers seem a little in the dark still.

Thanks!!

Spare is full size in diameter but a different tire than the four corners under "sunny day" use. That's so it can fit under the cover in the cargo area. It's slightly narrower and on an 18" steel wheel.

Re: Ordering 2015 Summit Diesel, have ?'s

Delayed for now with no specific date...supposedly a couple months. Chrysler is launching the RAM 1500 with the same engine finally and the suspicion is there are not enough engines to support both initially. A few folks squeaked orders in earlier, but that ability seems to have passed. (Some folks are reportedly getting a $1500 incentive in the mail for the 2014 Ecodiesel this week, so that might be something to think about...actually, I just opened the mail and I got the offer. Unfortunately, they are not transferable.)

How do you get on the list for the incentives?

I suspect you sign up to get info from the Jeep.com page...and then hope you get the random mailing.

2. Any word on 2015 diesels getting the DEF injector skid plate standard?

I'd be interested to know this as well.

Nothing that I've seen anywhere. We initially hoped that part of the delay was to address this issue. Truth is, though, that the delay was only because the diesel engines were all allocated to Ram for awhile

It seems to be very difficult to get an answer on the DEF skid plate question...

Re: Ordering 2015 Summit Diesel, have ?'s

Since it's not been specifically announced, the answer is likely "no"...but personally, I'd still order the vehicle since it's something that in the scope of things can be addressed if need be for an individual and the Summit is an amazing JGC.

I already have my order placed.

Just trying to decide if I need to get a DEF skid plate ordered ahead of time or not.

Re: Ordering 2015 Summit Diesel, have ?'s

Well...if it's returnable without cost to you, order it so you have it. If not, wait until you receive your shiny new beautiful Jeep and order if you need it. A few days without isn't going to matter much in the long term... And congrats on your order!!!
