Ouch!

Stopped by my dealer this morning. They have a Summit with saddle interior, which is the same exterior color as my Limited, in the showroom.
I opened the rear hatch and stepped up to the vehicle... whack! hit it square in the middle of my forehead. ?

Opened the rear hatch of the Limited next to it and was able to walk up and under it just like on my vehicle with room to spare.

Moral to the story: I am 6'0". So if you are 5'11" to 6'1'' be aware that the electrically operated rear hatch opens about 2 inches lower than the manual rear hatch.

Re: Ouch!

Or perhaps the Summit had been lowered to the Park position? I'm your height and have no trouble with the electric hatch on my Overland.

Didn't look it, but I did open the rear hatch manually rather than electically. I pushed up on it too after I got hit.

Re: Ouch!

Maybe there is an adjustment that needs to be made or it was at Park height. I'm taller than 6' and have no problem walking under my Summit liftgate...

Re: Ouch!

I'm 6'3" and have to duck to get under my hatch in my Overland. I wonder if this can be adjusted.

I agee that the Summit was probably at "Park" height, but wow what a wake up call!
