Yep - but if you have a low ceiling or an obstruction that could cause damage there will come a time that you accidentally hit the lift gate button on the remote and wammo $$$

Re: Overall height with tailgate open

Can you stop it with your hand if you grab it just before it hits something?

Re: Overall height with tailgate open

Hmmm

I have ordered the vehicle today so I think the next thing is to get the auto tilt-adoor changed out to an auto rollerdoor.

As the car is for my wife, between shopping trips and the kids to & from school, it will only be a matter of time before the tailget button gets pressed and height restriction forgotton.

Regards

Swampy

Good idea, a roller door will probably be cheaper than marriage counseling I just took a "quick" measure its more like 84 to 85 inches at the top of the wiper when the tailgate is opened. This is an overland with 20 inch rims parked in standard park position.

Thanks for that.

I suppose the other dimension that is important is the overall length of the vehicle with the tailgate open, as it may stlil intefere with the roller door mechanism.

I don't suppose I could trouble you to check the O/A length with Tailgate open?

Thanks

Re: Overall height with tailgate open

O/A length with Tailgate open: 208 inches, 17 feet 4 inches.

This was just a quick measure.
