Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

Do the power folding mirrors come with the Overland? What about the better insulation against sound and upgraded seat foam?

According to the Australian Design Rules for Road Cars, it is a mandatory requirement for cars fitted with HID lighting to have self leveling systems and washers. All models of GCs in Oz have these.

This does not appear to be the case in the USA.

Can't speak for the insulation, but according to the main Jeep website, Overlands have different seat foam than the Limited. The Overland also comes standard with self leveling HIDs.

The European Union has the same regulation. I'm surprised FCA bothered to create an HID headlight unit without the integrated washing mechanism.

Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

Before buying my Overland, I test drove both the Summit and Overland. Originally, I thought I would be getting the Summit. But, I really liked the Indigo interior and that was not available in the Summit. What I miss about the Summit are the HK radio and the front sensors. But that is all and it wasn't worth the extra cost and, again, I really liked the indigo. Also, I agree with those who liked the exterior look of the Overland better. Something about the front tow hooks said "Jeep" to me more the Summit front fascia. Just my opinion.

Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

Yeah I ordered the Overland for the same reason: I just thought it looked "tougher" than the Summit (maybe it's the wheels and the front tow hooks?). Plus I too loved the Indigo interior. I also didn't want the "Driver's Assistance" package that comes standard in the Summit (I don't like my car to be my nanny).

I do wish I had the upgraded stereo but oh well.

And I'm sure you can't go wrong with either model!

In my humble opinion the Overland front fascia and wheels look better than the Summit's.
