Re: Overland or Summit??

Ive got an Overland and as much as ive grown to love it I have noticed the fenders and exhaust on the summit suit it much better. Partnered with that brown interior an I hope you find yourself a winner.

Re: Overland or Summit??

Now that you can get the Overland with the HK radio and the Summit with skid plates the differences narrow.

Re: Overland or Summit??

I ordered an Overland purely for the interior. I wanted that Light Frost/Beige interior and for some reason that isnt an option on the Summit.

Other than that, they are getting pretty similar (Summit having a few extra features of course).

Re: Overland or Summit??

I have had my Summit for a year now and I love it. I Have taken it up to Vermont, Toronto, Myrtle, and this weekend up to N.H. and the drives are easy to be honest. Between the seats and the air suspension, you can drive 8 hours and not feel that tired. I just did a 7.5 hour stint from Surfside Beach to Just west of DC on 3/4 of a tank without stopping with the V6.

I like the bumpers on the Overland as well as the tow hooks. To minimize the look of Chrome on the GC, I picked up one in white and most of the chrome melds in. I can swap out the side mirror covers if I want to help. The GC's have that Califofnia apperance package or whatever it is that removes some of the chrome as well. Probably the only thing I would change is maybe doing the V8 over the V6. Kind of miss the V8 sound and torque that I have with my car when I drive the GC.

If they had offered the HK system in the Overland when I bought mine, I would probably be driving that one, but I have no regrets getting the Summit.

I don't care for the huge black plastic area around the tow hitch receiver. Gives the Overland and Limited a cheap look from the rear.

Not that I am aware of. You would have to have an official build sheet (not window sticker or equipment listing) run which premium members on here get once so that's not a solution for your shopping.

Gotta look at (or get salesman to) sticker on drivers door outer edge. Upper left is Date of Mfr (built) in MM-YY format and detailed build date is in lower right labeled MDH and in MMDDHH format where HH is the hour in 24 hr military time.
