Very cool. Your first link had the VIN in the link so I assumed it ran it but it hadn't.

Very useful to shop for a "built after..." if concerned about recalls/TSB's......

Exactly!! I'm a little concerned about that. Especially since I'm going the Pentastar V6 route. If it were the Hemi I wouldn't be as concerned.

Thank you for the help

If you go Summit, some of the off road bits can be fitted afterwards.
Not that most places need them.

Re: Overland or Summit??

Skid plates are now an option on the Summit. Front recovery hooks and 18s are all else I can think of.

Re: Overland or Summit??

Yeah I won't be going off-roading, other than dirt roads to trail heads and dirt road to family's house.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a Overland gas V6 4x4 with tow pkg and blind spot (not advance tech pkg). I could splurge and do summit Hemi but I'm wanting to buy some other stuff so I decided I should be reasonable.

The link worked for me. But every time I tried my own vin the page was in Chinese. Could you try it for me? It might be my browser on both my phone and computer (safari)..

Re: Overland or Summit??

Disappointment. It was coming up with an "format error" before turning to Chinese. I did a little digging and found they are only up to date through '14.

Re: Overland or Summit??

I just tried my 2014 VIN and got the Chinese. I know I have a 2014 build date so maybe it's only for pre-2014 builds?

Re: Overland or Summit??

That's strange. The vin code is set per model year. "e" for '14, "f" for 15

The other option is to narrow the search down to the ones you are truly interested in buying, (there can't be more than 2 or 3) and call the dealers and ask them to look at the label on the pillar. Any salesman that won't make that effort for a possible sale isn't worth doing business with.
