After much indecision whether the low profile roof rails would work or not. I decided to avoid the trouble and headaches in trying to make them fit. So I decided to just send my stock rails out to get powdercoated. Had them done in gloss black they turned out beautiful. This is a great alternative for anyone wanting the all black look. But still want the functionality of there roof rack. Also a less expensive route paid 40.00 for the pair. Will post pics on vehicle when I get them mounted.
Thanks ant I see your on the Island also. I had them done at Elite powdercoating in Plainview. They also do a lot of wheels seen some really nice ones when I was there.
yea... those guys are right along the LIE right? my friend had a custom set of CCW wheels powder coated and polished by them, they're one of the best on the Island.
I know of a few other shops that are also really good. Action Powder Coating in Farmingdale and one in bay shore right up the street from Millers and the Tanger Outlets on Grand Blvd.
Those look great! Going to be keeping that in mind moving forward. Were the rails easy to remove? Honestly, haven't looked at them for more than a quick second since I bought the Jeep.
Yep ant that's the place right off sunny side blvd exit.
And Crimson rails are very easy to remove 4 torx screws and slide right off. Then you just need to cut the plastic rivet that attaches the metal rail to the plastic cover. A very simple job
Well after a good wash and detailing today I put the rails back on. Very pleased with the look of them on vehicle. Pics did not come out so good as it was a dreary day here on the Island. Also threw in a few pics of the new wheels.
