One of my pet peeves is with the interior color being green. I just noticed on the Jeep website an interior picture over a MY11 Overland Summit and the accent lighting was blue. Is this true for all Summit's or just a tease from Jeep/Chryco?
Well I feel better knowing that blue isn't unique to the Summit model (as I would've been very disappointed having a "standard" Overland).
Weird, as the interior picture on the Jeep website clearly shows blue accent lighting. Perhaps it was intended but switched to separate Dodge from Jeep. idk.
You know...some of us who have never had interior lighting like this before are actually stoked and just glad to have it regardless of the color...call me simple
Can't you get a kit to change the color of the interior lighting? I thought it was like an interior light kit offered through Mopar and includes the ability to change between a few different colors...or am I thinking of something else?
Personally, I like the soft red that was in the BMW I had prior to this better. If it was just a color preference I could understand, but it really is also a safety issue.
Red light has been proven to prevent loss of night vision after using/looking at the light. I don't believe that is true of other colors, especially the teal. In the city it is not a big deal, but out on rural road with no other traffic/no other lights, they actually hurt the driver's night vision for seeing animals on the side of the road. The red was great, could see stuff in the cabin as needed, but never really noticed. The teal, while can be cool looking is very noticeable and initially distracting.
