So im pretty sure im getting the summit tommorow. Its stickered at $49k. Whatprice should i shoot forin negotiations? Btw it has the tv instead of pana roof which sucks but everything else is perfect. I originaly wanted the new srt8 so went in to see how the jeeps looked and was suprised at the luxury and options. Do you think summit is a good buy?

I have a V8 4x4 Summit with Pano Roof in Brilliant black and love it, love it, love it.

I did the affiliate pricing for 1% below invoice + $75 admin fee. You might be able to do better now. Make sure it is a post 3/1/2011 build with BRIGHT Polished Aluminum wheels (again BRIGHT) and the 730N RHR media center (not RER if they made that and not 430N RHB if you want the latest which is the 730N RHR).

Good luck...

I think Dan and I have the exact same Jeep: Black Summit w/4x4 & HEMI. Mine was built after march so it has the RHR.

I went with affiliate pricing through Treadlightly membership although they didn't charge me the $75 fee for some reason. It was easy peasy. The only way you'll negotiate lower is if they have similar vehicles in stock. Mine was hard to find as they had to call around 5 or 6 dealers and none would give up their stock. Without the affiliate deal I would have paid close to sticker.

it is the model of media head unit (colour screen on the dash) that is installed in your car.
The 730RER is a problem as is the 430. The 730 RHR is the better unit, and was installed in the the March 2011 models.

just a fyi, as it might be different based on where you live, but I signed up for zag.com in 10 minutes (free) and within 20 minutes had quotes for a 2012 Overland V8 that were $1,100 under invoice. This is a better deal than tread lightly and is free and almost instant.

Last month I bough a 2011 Overland 4x4 V6 with 17mi, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring and the tv in the back with the affiliates pricing. MSRP was over 46k, they had to take the Jeep from another dealer who had it at $45750. With the affiliates it was just over 42K.

If you are wanting an SRT8 I would say wait and get it, I was originally going to wait for the SRT but bought an Overland instead. I love the luxury and practicality of it but it is just way too floaty with the air suspension and the interior will be just as nice in the SRT. I came out of an '06 SRT8 and will probably buy another in about a year as to not get hit too hard with trading in a 3 month old Jeep.

Not sure what state you live in but here n florida it needs to be in a case or holster. Absolutely beautiful truck, great buy. Hope you are happy with it!

EXCELENT!!! Love that vehicle...best combo ever...cuz same as mine! LOL

Quick question....I thought you said in post #1 that it had the DVD instead of the pano roof but looks to me like you got the pano roof and no DVD entertainment center (the better choice anyway).

Now if you add the 5.7L HEMI badges we'll be identical twins!
