Re: Overland vs. Limited

That sucks, they should have a "delete" option for the air suspension. If this truck leaves the pavement I'd be mad.

Re: Overland vs. Limited

If you can find one that had an earlier build date you can get it without. But will have to take whatever color and options it comes with. If you can even find one that has not been bought yet. FYI go to the dealer and they can do a search within whatever radius for vehicles with certain options, might be able to find that way.

Thanks for that feedback. Good to know they are making them that way as I would prefer to buy off the lot if possible rather than special order. What color combo did you get? Nice to hear a good deal also. What was your MSRP vs. actual sale price excluding tax/license?

Re: Overland vs. Limited

I got the "Guiness" special - Black with a Tan interior. Going from memory MSRP was $44690 and my negotiated price was $37998 + TTL. It worked for me! Now if I could just get the iPhone - 430N to play nicely together!

Re: Overland vs. Limited

I spoke with a dealer today who told me the Off-road Adventure II can't be ordered with the Limited.

Can anyone confirm if that is the case? Any idea if it will change?

He said the Quadra Lift is only available on Overlands?

Re: Overland vs. Limited

I picked up my new Limited w 5.7 V8 on Blackberry with dark interior, 730N, 18 inch wheels & tow package this past Wednesday afternoon, and I could not be happier.

Earlier that day, Subaru repurchased my Outback "shaker", so I made an informed decision that I did not really need the QL and that I did not really want to take a chance on the QL's reliability in its' first year (Although I am sure that it will be A-OK). And, I had no desire to have 20 inch tires package, with what I consider to be a lack of replacement and winter tire choices at this time. I could afford the Overland, and there were some available in colors that I would choose, but I got a great deal on the Limited that was built with exactly what I wanted on my new Jeep, and nothing extra/unnecessary, so I drove off with it.

In the past, I have typically erred on the side of underpowered engines to save $$ and gas, but at age 62 I decided that I could afford to pay the gas costs differences of the 5.7 and that my winter weekend drives to ski in Vermont would be easier.

Not too much mileage yet, but I am extremely impressed so far with fit, comfort and driving prowess of the new GC. Happy New Year to all!

Dealer is correct on both counts. Quadra-Lift will become available on the Limited once supply issues are resolved (high Overland demand has created a shortage of QL parts).

i believe the wk2 actually shares the platform with the ML not the GL. agree 100% with the range rover air suspensions.

The GL is just a stretched ml platform...however its the next gen ml that is the cousin of the gc not the current model....though they do have some parts in common (gauge cluster being the most obvious)

I dont think Chrysler or Jeep is in the position to blame Land Rover ;-). I know a lot of Land and Range Rover owner, i do have a 13 year old Defender, and none of them have any major problems with it.

The Air Suspension could be a problem (does not matter what brand), maybe not today or in 3 years, but what about in 10 years? I do like the function, but i'm not sure if i really want one. But ok, the Jeeps one does not sound very expensive to fix. The same with the power liftgate, what you dont have can not break.

Who's blaming Land Rover? All I said is that they are notoriously unreliable which is an absolute fact according to virtually every auto publication, mechanic, former owner, and just about every objective person for that matter. I think they are beautiful looking trucks but they are just overpriced POS.
