JWS360 will become famous soon enough
Re: Overland vs. Limited w/ Nav, Luxury, Tow & Off road group: What are the differenc

Showed the wife pics of a white with tan Limited equipped with all Overland mechanical features and luxury items, etc (Lux, full Off road, towing, advanced tech, etc).

She prefers the black trim on the Limited (as opposed to body color) and thinks it looks more sporty & less prone to stone chips, but does like the tan carpet in the Overland. She can live with the black carpet in the Limited, but wonders if tan mats would be a nice contrast.

I'm slowly going nuts....In an ideal world I'd have a new 535xi and she'd get the JGC. Can't do 2 such vehicles at once, however. Love the idea of having a Jeep in the family, but still not sure I can drive an SUV day in, day out. Worried I'd miss 0-60 on 4.8. Then again, a 335 runs in fear of every curb & pothole it meets!

Re: Overland vs. Limited w/ Nav, Luxury, Tow & Off road group: What are the differenc

The black trim on ours is holding up okay. It has faded though. 2 years old and 33k miles. The black carpeting is going to be much easier to keep nice than tan.

One other thing I noted about the Overland. I love our Laredo X ( basically a limited without memory seats or HID), but being accustomed to luxury cars I would not want to drive it as my primary vehicle. Wen I drove the 2014 Overland last week though I commented to myself that I WOULD drive that vehicle every day. It rides incredibly with the QL, and the interior, which is nice in ours, is taken to such another level with the leather, better trim, more interesting colors. It really is a very nice vehicle. IMHO the Limited feels very similar to our 2011 inside, doesn't feel like an upgrade to me.

Have you thought about a Summit? Even better still inside with the suede headliner, although I like the exterior of the a limited/Overland more.

Although I am a big fan of getting what is right for you. If you really want a 535...get a 535. You only live once, they have great leases.

Route 66 is a splendid one to behold
Since I'm ordering the diesel, I priced the difference closer to $4500 less for the Limited with QL2 versus the Overland as I'm not getting the tech package required on the diesel Overland. If I was getting a gas engine, I'd go for the Overland with the indigo/Jeep brown interior. Either way, enjoy the Jeep!

Saw the Indigo/Jeep Brown interior today for the first time in person, I was skeptical but I love it. That alone is worth the money over the Limited IMHO.

What color exterior would you pair it with?

Probably Maximum Steel. Although my wife said she liked white which really surprised me...

The one on the lot today was True Blue which I liked but she didn't.

Don't get me wrong, the painted overland trim is nice, but possibly more prone to chips, although the black plastic could fade in time.
The Overland comes with either 18 or 20 wheels. The 18s are on the OR packages, but if you get one with 20s and don't need/want the OR packages, you shouldn't have any problem making a deal with the dealer to swap the 20's for one of the 18" variants.

Like I think I wish I had a manual lift gate. It will NEVER last and probably cost a fortune to fix. I was backing it up with a trailer today and some times I like to have gate open. But the gate closed as soon as I put it in reverse. Ugh.
good to know, I usually back down the boat ramp with the tailgate up.
