Am I correct that in a V6 the only thing that the $3,600 Summit package adds to the Overland is the Advanced warning system, New Saddle interior with brown dash and black wood instead of vice-versa, and the chrome bits and badging?

If that is correct, then you are paying $1,035 for the Summit badges, dash and wood color, right? An Overland with Advanced Warning package ($1,295.00), New Saddle interior ($275.00), and Chrome Edition Group ($995.00) comes to $45,485, whereas an Overland Summit is $46,520.

Am I missing some feature that accounts for the extra thousand dollars?

Thanks!

I looked at the difference a few months ago and you're right, the Summit is not that great of a deal considering the price premium, unless you like some of the trim, the chrome grill and bezzles, tow hooks, a color only available on the Summit, and perhaps slightly better build quality. There really isn't any functional difference between the fully optioned overland and Summit. I think the $700 730N radio is standard on the Summit but you may pay extra on the overland. Is the radio worth the difference is a subject of another debate.

Re: Overland Vs. Overland Sumit

I believe they use slightly different 20" wheels but they both use the 730N audio set. I personally don't see the added value of the Summit so I custom order a V6 Overland with the Advanced Warning & Adaptive Control plus the Mopar Chrome Edition package. Total MSRP is $46,485 before the Chrysler $1000 incentive.

Is there a way to get the saddle dash without paying up for the Summit?

nope. That, QD2 standard with the V8 and dark wood trim, along with the extra chrome and 20" polished wheels are features of the overland. Plus the option of Rugged Brown for exterior color. Otherwise the rest of the features can be had on the overland.

Re: Overland Vs. Overland Sumit

I want a V8 Overland Summit with Quadra Drive II and the 20" wheels. Are they mutually exclusive?

Asked a different way: does the V8 Overland Summit come with Quadra Drive without needing to order Off Road Adventure Package II (which omits the 20" wheels)?

Conflicting info above, and I haven't found an order configurator that is clear.

On 4x4 V8 Overland Summits, 20" wheels and Quadra Drive II are standard. Do NOT add Off Road Adventure Package or you'll get 18" wheels.

You will probably need to visit a dealer to find an order configurator that is clear and accurate and up to date on restrictions.

The Overland Summit V8 is the only 2012 model that comes standard with the rear ELSD which makes it a QD. For other models you need a V8 and ORA

Correct. Those are NOT standard and require the offroad-package.

Yeah I dunno how true that could be. There would be no possible way a dealership could sell an Overland with adaptive cruise package for that price. I would even imagine that price is unrealistic for a 2 wheel drive version. I got my 12 Overland V6 with adaptive cruise package for $39,612 and only one dealership out of like 50 in the Chicago area would touch that price. I would like to hear more details about how that price was achieved.
