All, thanks for your responses. I ended up purchasing the Summit and then upgrading it to an Overland Got the 3 skid plates but decided not to cut into the Summit in order to install the tow hooks. Maybe that will keep me from taking that one-road-to-many drive. Did find the color selection limiting but the stereo (poor word for a 19 speaker system) is kickass and the adaptive headlights are nice on those dark roads.

BTW, got it with the diesel engine. Lots of pep, esp in sport mode.

Granite with Grand Canyon Jeep Brown interior. Liked the brown because it showed the stitching so much better than the black. Plus black interior with Texas heat: leg fryers.

Traded in a BMW X5, no regrets.
