I see from your sig you have 20s/18s, How are you finding that? Do you change back and forth yourself?

I've only run the 20's on the drive home from the dealer.
I still had the 4 Snows on the floor where I took them off.

Quickest purchase ever.

Looked Friday Afternoon. Gave Deposit.
Friday evening, Pulled snows off, pulled custom installed Radar out, pulled matts, put in original carpets.
Picked up 9AM next Sat morning. Paid personal check. No loan.
Late Sat Morning, Got home, put snows back on, reinstalled radar, pulled carpets out, put mats back in (after cleaning).

All in about 18 Hrs from deciding to driving around with snows on.

Re: Overland w standard 20s or 18s?

I've got a 2012 Overland V8 with 20" wheels, and have put almost 80,000 miles on it. I was somewhat concerned about tire/wheel damage with the low profile tires and the GJC's high curb weight. It actually hasn't been a problem--on rough roads in Illinois and Wisconsin, I haven't had any problems.

However, if I were doing any real off-roading, I'd definitely switch to 18s; they offer much more sidewall to absorb punishment.

Sorry,

I just traded in my 2014 Limited with 18" OEM's and 18" Snows on separate wheels for an 2015 Overland with 20" OEM.

I took the snows off the Limited, put on OEM Wheels.
Picked up an Overland with 20" OEM Wheels and immediately took them off and put 18" Snows back on the Overland.

So I only have 10 miles experience on the 20" Wheels.

Re: Overland w standard 20s or 18s?

I just noticed the price for adding the off road adventure II package to an overland build has decreased. It was previously MSRP of $995 and now it's $495!!

Mt where did you see that price reduction. As I'am hoping it was in effect when they built my Overland on 3/2 will check my window sticker when my Overland comes in next week.

Re: Overland w standard 20s or 18s?

That price ups the ante on getting the 18s. Any downside? Do the 18s or the skid plates decrease fuel economy?

skid plates weigh 117 lbs for all 5. not enough weight to make much difference or I haven't seen any anyway
