So the -7% of invoice offered on the east cost does not include destination or 500$ dealer charge. So on a 50k vehicle that's 3%. So....I'm asking Davesmith for -4% which would be the equivalent. Just spoke to him this morning, let you know what they say.

So to be clear, are you saying that you're asking -4% with no dealership fees and no destination charges? I was under the impression that those are fixed costs that the dealer can't take off.

Re: PacNorWesters looking to order

Issac at Mid Valley said he'd do 2% under invoice for sure (first dealer I've gotten to confirm they would do a % site unseen).

For those living in WA (especially in the West side of the state, his tax rate is 7.9%, so, it saves ya another 1% off).

I'll see if that's enough to unnerve the Bellevue and such folks enough to actually post numbers.

Smith says, no destination fee. Take 1500 off invoice and that's what you pay.

Plus 250 for prep tags and wax

That's what I'm being told, still going to wait for Tuesday before ordering. Did you guys see the production of the CRD pushed back to April 18?

Re: PacNorWesters looking to order

Right now in leaning towards Isaac over Dave Smiths $1500 under. 2% under on a loaded overland is about $1000 and I can be to Grandview in 45min versus a full day for two people to go to Kellogg.

Temerarius, is it a certainty that you don't get dinged again for higher sales tax in your home locality so long as you buy anywhere in Washington state? I'm in Kent at 9.5% so that's a pretty strong discount right there.

Re: PacNorWesters looking to order

The way I'm reading the Washington State Dept. of Revenue's site is that we pay sales tax based on the location of the store/retail location where the item is sold. I don't see anything separate for vehicle sales, so I'm assuming they qualify as regular retail goods/merchandise. If that's the case, there's definitely a good argument for taking a bit of a drive for some of us. That's my take on it.

Determine the location of my sale

Re: PacNorWesters looking to order

Looks right, sales tax is paid based on dealer location within the state. Awesome!

Fees and Taxes - Auto License - Auditor - Clark County Washington

"Sales / Use Tax
Sales tax or use tax is paid by the purchaser of a vehicle. Sales tax is generally paid at the time of purchase when a vehicle is purchased from a Washington dealership. Use tax is generally paid at the time of registration when a vehicle is purchased from a private party or an out of state dealership. The tax rate depends on the circumstances of the purchase. Tax on a purchase from a Washington dealer is based on the dealer's location. Purchase from a private party or an out of state dealer is taxed based on the address of primary use registered by the purchaser."

Re: PacNorWesters looking to order

I am interested in joining up also but a little curious on how this would work. I will be trading in my 08 F-150, I assume as part of the group negotiated rate we would discuss are trade-in individually with the dealership?

I am in King county and my understanding is that if we buy from out of state when we go to register the vehicles here we will have to pay sales tax based on our address? Any one from wa bought from Dave Smith?
