PacNorWesters looking to order

I've had more than a few folks asking how my negotiations are going with dealers in the greater Seattle Area.

So far... mixed bag.

Dwayne Lane wouldn't negotiate until the rig could be ordered, but said that 1% under nvoice isn't an issue, but said that the Costco offer maybe a better pricepoint versus the standard AF/TL offer.

Rairdon's of Kirkland (AKA Dodge chrysler Jeem Ram of Kirkland) was utterly useless. Tried to sell me a 2013, told me that the CRD would be $8k more than the standard V6, told me they would not be available until August, and (until I mentioned AF/TL) told me I'd be lucky to get MSRP prices.

Car Pros Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Renton said they'd meet/beat any offer I have in writing.

I'm meeting with them tomorrow and we'll see if they will meet/beat Pat's 2% offer or the "tentative" 2% offer from...

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Bellevue who won't fully commit to a 2% pricing until they can place the order, but said they would match Pat's offer (tentatively). I've been working with Dave Tisdial there now for a good 8 months on the rig, so I'm leanign that way right now unless Car Pro's blows them out of the water, or if they backtrack on the 2%.

This being said, I think getting the 2% from them has been more tooth pulling then is needed on a 1:1 basis.

If a few folks are interested, I can go to them (or any dealer) and see about doing a group order or such.

Good to know.

I plan on speaking with Dwayne Lanes Jeep soon (Everett). Have yet to reach out to any dealerships yet, though.

I'm interested in a V6 Overland with no additional packages (just a base Overland) and would certainly entertain a group buy deal.

I got my 2012 from Bellevue, I had also spent a couple months with them prior to my purchase. I worked with Chris Rickard there. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted.

I have a friend thinking about a 14 and will update ya when I find out specifics on what he is looking for. Which model are you looking at?

As a side note, I have also had good experiences with the service department at CJDR Bellevue. I've had no hassles getting warranty/TSB stuff taken care of and they have a nice shuttle service if you live or work in the area. No affiliation, but i've been impressed coming from my experiences at BMW Bellevue previously when I owned an M3.

I'm looking to order a 2014 Overland CRD.

I'll be meeting all the dealers face to face tomorrow and getting written offers.

I will pass along that there maybe a group of us looking to place a larger order and see if that sways them a bit more.

Thanks for all the info! I'm 100% in at 2% below if that helps with Jeep of Bellevue or Car Pros. I'm ready to order a Limited CRD ASAP so keep me posted on how it goes. I'll drop a line to Dave Tisdial to let him know I'm interested in ordering as well.

I had a similar Rairdon experience in Bellingham. I haven't driven a WK2 at all yet, so I said I'd like to take one for a test drive. I was told that the 2014's will be completely different (I know they're not, save for some cosmetics, interior, CRD & 8-speed trans) and that it would be a waste of time to drive one. I was also told that I'd never be able to get one at less than MSRP. And as it seems all too often, I knew way more about the 2014's than they did.

Thanks again Temerarius. Hopefully we can all help each other to save some money and get some CRD's and 2014's in general on the road!

Rairdon in Kirkland was worthless for me too! They didn't want to talk about the 2014s. They acted like they weren't even in existence. They said they wouldn't expect to see them until September or October. And the CRD would be between $60 and $80K! Wow. What would we do without forums these days? Anyway, There lot was still full of 2013's, so I'm suspecting they want to get rid of them before they even think about the 2014's. One guy at the dealership said that they could probably start ordering them in March. Some dealerships (According to this forum) are already placing orders, what gives?

Hoping more people will respond with their experiences for us guys up here in the Northwest!

I purchased my 2013 GC ov-summit from Town and Country in north Seattle, on Aurora Ave., because they are a Costco dealer. I didn't finance but believe I received about the best price available for a new vehicle with little or no haggle. If anyone is a Costco member, definitely worth a try IMO.

BTW - Just FYI, "Town & Country", is now, "AutoNation", and I don't know if they are still a Costco dealership ...

I'm strongly considering a CRD Overland. So far, the only dealer I've spoken to has been Dave Smith. They said they are at invoice. Perhaps a group buy could motivate them some.

Another thing to think about for us in Washington is sales tax...

If we buy in state, we pay the sales tax of where we buy the vehicle. In that case, some places like Grandview are going to be a lot more favorable than Seattle by may 1.5%.

I am out in Bellevue every 6 weeks or so for work, so I will probably drop by the Bellevue dealer to see what they can do. You guys also need to look at Dave Smith. They beat all of my local dealers by at least 1000 bucks. We have purchased a few vehicles from them even though we are 4 hours east of them.

I keep seeing the 1-2 below invoice figure. I'm ready to order a limited CRD, but want some dollar figures. I'm in Alaska so will either come pick it up or have it shipped, our dealers here are useless as well! Left a window down after servicing my 56k dodge diesel, in the winter filled with snow. Also told me the new CRD is 225hp and 300tq and good luck finding one.

How can one be in the business of selling cars and not know shit about em. Kinda sad really

Anyway, point me in the direction of someone who can help, I'm ready to spend some $$$

To get you a close price, just get the invoice pricing for what you are looking for and take 1-2% off, most dealers do it this way. As for shipping, be aware that it will probably cost about $1000 for this and their have been complaints about the dealers receiving these and not doing a thing with them unlike if you pickup from the dealer. Good Luck!!

I recommend John Reginato at Larson CJD in Puyallup. I ordered a 2014 Overland from him last weekend at $750 under invoice. He is great to work with. Bought my 2004 Cummins turbo diesel from him 9 years ago. I ordered a 2013 Overland from him last summer. I asked about the 2014 when I heard the rumors about the changes and he confirmed them. When the 2013 arrived we went to check it out and test drive it. I asked John if he had a problem with us not accepting the 2013 and waiting on a 2014. He said no problem. As I said, I ordered the 2014 last weekend and have already received an email from Jeep VOTS.

I've been working with Bellevue as well and think I'll likely order from them as soon as the diesels open up. I get the affiliate pricing (as does Temerarias) but would love to get a better deal, so count me in if we can do better than 1%.

I think I'm going to do sell my current car privately to avoid the trade-in hassle and to take advantage of the tdi love here in town.

I have yet to get any dealer to commit to an actual figure on a vehicle (mostly due to the fact I'm going after a CRD).

Lots of dealers saying they will beat everyone else, but the moment I ask for written figures of 2%+ off invoice, they get dodgy.

Akrenegade1, were you working with someone specific at Dave Smith?

Issac at Mid Valley has been prompt and forthcoming with info (and is clearly smart enough to watch this forum), but like most dealers, won't commit to pricing ont he CRD until the can see it in the system.

Bellevue is the same right now (no pricing in writing until they can see it in the system to order).

Car Pros is just laying down the thick smoke "We'll beat anybody!" ...we'll see I guess.

You have an email handy for the gent at the Puyallup dealership?
