Re: Paint Sheilding!?

It is probably some wax they put on the car. That is too cheap of a price for it to be a clear bra which typically cost $500-1000 for a quality install. Ask them what it is, if it is not a clear bra make them take it off the invoice!

Re: Paint Sheilding!?

Profit.

Look at the item above (spare tire lock). At least in the 2011 the spare tire is only access from inside the car, thus not needed.

A dealer near me wanted $1,000 extra on every vehicle (pin stripe, wheel locks, some coating for paint/interior). Basically all high profit items. Real cost after market would have been 200-300.

Spare tire is inside on the 14's too. At least I didn't get charged for that.

Re: Paint Sheilding!?

If you want your money back, I would go back and tell the manager that this charge was snuck into the deal without you knowing. Threaten to post your experience on social media outlets etc. It may be tough to get your money back, but maybe they will give you a credit of $195 towards service at the dealer or something.

I am not even sure I paid for it. If I did it was definitely snuck in there.
